This cabinet is opened by pulling on the knob you see in the photo--there is not a push button of any kind. For extensive discussions on this see all the other posted comments. We have provided a link for folks wishing to use a child safety lock in the previous comments.

This is a really cool idea, but it isn't very practical for children even with a lock. I would be paranoid about closing it the second after I grab a knife. This makes me nervous for other people to have in their home. If the blades were enclosed rather than open to the side I would feel slightly better, but it is still too low for children to grab. I know my baby niece would be trying to get into that the second she discovered it was there. It is almost too low for most adults to grab without bending as well.
