BitterMelon Premature???

The type of Bitter melons I planted is supposed to have the fruits ready in 100 days from the day the seeds planted. However, I noticed the first bitter melon turning orange about 10 days ago, which was about one month earlier than what the package says. I thought that it was the only "bad" one prematured. Then, I found the second, third, and the fourth ones all turning orange and started to get soft in succession.
Also, the size of them were much smaller than what they were supposed to grow (about only half of the size). The seeds inside of the melons were sort of fully grown too.
Can someone explains this to me?
Thanks
