Spring is still 2 weeks away, unless you live there!

Hi All...we had a nice rain this morning and now it's windy and cool in Spring, TX, but we have been having daytime temps in the 70s and at last count in the greenhouse I have 22 bulbs with scapes...the other 150+ are still snoozing or starting to send out leaves...I am so excited!!

I thought I'd share a couple photos I took this morning.

This is an un-named variety...a $3 bulb from WalMart sold in the bags this year. The color...it's cranberry, not red! Just starting to open, but lovely:

And my dwarf peach tree...I've been playing "bee"!

And lastly...I put the last of the bulk Alfresco bulbs that I had ordered (guess what everyone got for Christmas!?) into a big pot. It's overwhelmingly pretty!!

WOW, to sharing that walk through Spring at your house! It's trying here but too cold to enjoy it much. However, The sky is blue this morning so at least there will be some sunshine when the sun clears the woods. And that means nice warm happy greenhouse time for me!

Well, I'm glad someone is enjoy some Spring like weather!

When we get a decent day the nasty East Wind blows in off the ocean and takes us right back to winter...

Your Alfresco is just beautiful and looking forward to seeing all of your upcoming blooms.. :-)
