What type of Fargesia is this and will it survive?

I bought a few clumps of Fargesia from a local nursery. They said it was hit hard by the harsh winter but that it would recover. Are they right? How long should I wait to see new shoots before I get worried that it is all dead.
Can anyone tell from the photo what species it is? I can post more pictures if needed.
