Update on Lowes bulbs from 2010

Just got back from the coast, I took my labels so I could label my amaryllis that I bought Dec 2010. What a suprise I had. My 3 Denver are all Lady Jane, the 3 Pasadena are all Lady Jane, the 4 Carnival are all Lady Jane, and the 4 Lady Jane are Lady Jane. I have a total of 14 Lady Jane. Thank goodness, I happen to love Lady Jane. They all look healthy, so I am happy. The 3 Aphrodite and Lady Jane bulbs were the only ones to bloom true. l remember that I had alot of Soverign and Red Lion bulbs, that bloomed that following spring. I bought 71 bulbs in Dec 2010 from Lowes. Barbra

Well, Donna at least I have alot of labels left, I only had to use one. They were all in the same flowerbed. I am going back week after next, hopefully the other flowerbeds, will have diffrent blooms. The 14 Lady Jane bulbs were all bought at the Corpus Christi Lowes. All the others bulbs were bought in San Antonio, at the RIM Lowes. I am sure they are all true, ha ha ha Barbra

That is too funny, well, at least you hadn't made the labels out ahead of time ;-)..there's a moral to that story somewhere..and you're right, Lady Jane is a beauty!!

Wow! 71 bulbs? Were they on sale? :O

Sorry to hear that most of them turned out to be Lady Jane.

Sorry, I mistyped, I only bought 41 bulbs. They were marked down to $1.75, regular price was $8.99. Some of them bloomed, right away I remember seeing Red Lion and Orange Soverign, but those are not blooming yet. It was beautiful driving up and seeing all those Lady Jane blooms, some of the plants had 3 and 4 blooms on them. It was like a birthday present special just for me. Barbra
