New Nigra Form.

I got this one as well. I think its p. nigra punctata because the culms dont turn a jet black like my nigra. That being said they dont get the same sun as mine. Mine are morning shaded. These came from full sun. They seem to just turn brown.But I managed to get some really large divisions and she said I could come back and get more. Its so sweet Nigra for free.

Here, the stronger or more sun they get, the slower and less black they turn.

Mine need almost complete shade to turn jet black and they do so in the first season.

That maybe why they arent jet black. They were in full sun where I got them from. I enjoy watching them turn black. So ya think its regular Nigra? Thanks Kt
