Luckily (I guess) my last hummer left a few days ago, but I leave the feeders out for any migrators that might pass by. I've had my share of yellowjackets at the feeder, but this was a new one for me. I've never seen so many bees before; they were also on my sedums. I'm not worried; I love bees and wouldn't do a thing to hurt them. I even tolerate the carpenter bees, to an extent. I'm just curious as to this strange behavior that I've never seen before.

I wish I would've had the camera when I first spotted them; the lower rim was filled with them, and there was a lot of fighting going on...
