I have never lost one to a brug although

I also have a houseful of pets including cats and they have never nibbled a brug and that's when I have them inside. I really wouldn't worry about plants that are outside.

I have 10 at present (remember I do fostering LOL). Mine have nibbled the leaves a few times but I watched them carefully & nothing happened to the cats (the leaves had teeth marks in them). They must not have tasted good to them because they only tried a few bites. I have had puppies chew up plants & stems (to mush) with no ill effects.

That's good to know. And here I've been worrying about my dog and brug "getting along." I actually have my brug in a cage so my dog can't get to it, although she shows absolutely no interest in it. Nor does the cat. Even if it's not as bad as some people make it seem, I'd still rather be safe than sorry.

My pets, 3 cats and 2 dogs don't bother mine either, but there is always potential for a bad reaction with a poisonous plant.
