Very nice! looks like a hybrid to me⦠possibly Haworthia truncate v.maughanii?

Good thought, dianashh. The thing is the tips aren't flat enough to be a truncate hybrid and the unknown plant seems to grow more concentric.

Whatever it is Howard, It is a very nice plant.

OK, how about this being a truncata x retusa cross or maybe Haworthia 'Harry Johnson'????? Any takers?????

Maybe maughanii x cooperi? The thing with hybrids is that the same parents can produce a whole range of different looking offspring, especially if one or both of the parents are hybrids themselves.

I've always wondered about the so-called truncata x maughanii cross that's commonly available. Why would they have flat shovel-tipped leaves when neither parent does? I did a test cross myself a few years back and all the offspring were intermediate between the two parents, with the normal truncated leaves on plants that grew like they couldn't decide to be rosettes or distichous.
