Your plant has gone into flowering mode! If you empty the cup and look deep down you will see the inflorescense starting to form. I know it is difficult as Amazing Grace has a very narrow funnel.

Hi Japie ,there are a couple of variants (sports or cultivars ) of "Amazing grace" i have one where the plant finishes up being deep maroon/burgundy with a few green lines whether it blooms or not,and the cup hardly changes colour when in bloom ,but it came as a pup of a plant like yours but all the pups of that one of mine are all dark ones , cheers Jack

It is just that it was very strange that as soon as you get something it immediately changes color. I was naturally looking for possible causes in my growing conditions. It seemed to be too much of a coincidence and have not seen any hint of an inflorescence yet.

I sure hope this AG is not the variant Jack is talking about, the one that ends up being burgundy when grown up. I say this because I got this plant is from Australia! But no, I do not think that this is one of those because the lines remain purple and are not green (yet?). Does this mean that the other, opposite, color variant of AG, the one referred to as Âdark formÂ, starts out like a normal AG instead of displaying the opposite colors from early on?

Food for thought. May be the source explains why it flowers now. Sanders mentioned in an earlier thread that his Neos are flowering during (European) winter. It is not winter yet here but I it is about spring in Australia when Neos supposed to flower over there.

Hi noid, no my plant of A.G is not the other dark form its totally different ,mine remains striped but predominantly in maroon brown and is still very atractive ,Jack
