Time for the big debut! This site has been in the making for a few months now and is still very much under construction, but I thought I'd let you guys check out the early build and let me know what you think. Please feel free to sign the guest book and I hope you enjoy the site!

    Hey buddy

VERY NICE, yours plants are soooo stunning!!
You have come a looong way in your CP care, I remember when I was still new here and you were having trouble keeping them alive for a long period.
Your VFT's look awesome as does every other plant of yours that Ive seen.

Thanx much for a great CP site

Nice work, there are some AWSOME photos there.

One small piece of advice from a part time site designer. You need a menue so that visitors don't have to use the back buttom constantly. Most find that one little thing really annoying.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.

Clay, that's a very good idea. I'll definitely have to implement that.

    Oh, thanks a LOT Mitch!!!!
    NOW I want a terrarium...
I just spent all this money on african violets, and then I had to get lights, and timers, etc., and then I got a few carnivorous plants that I just HAD to have and don't know how to take care of, and then I went an looked at your website and saw your terrariums, and I just 'happen' to have an unused 20 gal. aquarium sitting around, crying out for me to put plants in it...

I will not spend more money...
I WILL not spend more money...
I will NOT spend more money...
I will not SPEND more...well you get the idea.
Not that I have any more to spend... :0(

Sharon, who wants it all NOW!!!!

P.S. That's a pretty cool website...even if it did make me drool!!

Well LeopardGGeko, you've come a long way. Terrariums look great and the plants look even better - fantastic I'd say. You're cranking out some serious lumens for them. I'll have to check out some of those reptile hoods. Are you just using all-glass type aquarium tops?

Since you've obviously got it down now, I think you can probably experiment a little. Those compact flourescents are probably so strong compared to the regular flourescent tubes, you might try running without the tubes for a while when it comes time to replace them. My guess is that you wont see much of a difference. If you give it a try, let us know how it works out.

some links u might like to add your list of vendors:
    http://www.californiacarnivores.com/
    http://www.triffidpark.com.au/
these are both highly reputable places,
california carnivores is owned by J. D'amato, author of 'The Savage Garden'

lotsaplants: Hahahaha! I'm glad my site had such an effect on you. I say if you have the tank, then go for it! You can never have too many plants ;)

Joe: I'll definitely give that a try. I'm sure you're right though, about not seeing a difference.

Thanks again, everyone, for all the really nice comments! You guys are great :)

Headbanger: Thanks for the heads up, but that's the part of the site that's still under construction. I'll have the rest of the care/cultivation pages up within the week.

Joe: I'm not using any kind of top on my terrariums. There's nothing between the light hoods and my plants, and the hoods just rest nicely on the tanks.
