I work full-time as a grantwriter. You should look into local companies in your area. Many will be able to offer you monetary contributions ranging from the small (a few hundred dollars) to the large (several thousand). And if there's opportunity for publicity out of the project, even better. Make sure to play up that aspect in the ask.

Check with your colleges and universities on the availability of grant writing assistance. They have books with all the sources in your area- vendors, manufacturers, foundations.....the list is endless, the service is FREE!
