I'm not sure would depend on Ph and mineral content I guess.if Ph and mineral content are good you should ok I would let a few others chime in first.

In general well water is excellent for irrigating citrus. The most common exception to that is in areas where the ground water has high levels of salt. You can buy an inexpensive pH test kit to determine the pH.

I have kumquat, satsuma and lemon trees in the ground. Even though my well water is acidic, measuring less than 5.0 on the ph scale, I use it to water all my plants, including the citrus. Even with the acidic well water the citrus have always done quite well in both production and fruit quality.

I thought well water was alkaline? Or does it just depend on the location? I live in the hill country in Texas so its all limestone around here which made me assume it was pretty alkaline. I have been adding vinegar to my water because it helps with the nutrient uptake (assuming the pH is high)
