Would the timing of repotting be the most critical? Maybe repotting in early spring before root growth?

I'm just amazed that I've got mine to live and grow for over one year! And I just noticed this morning what seems to be flower stems. I don't know why mine has the warty "tumors" or conjoined twins. It has ended up cool I think. Should I try to do anything with it as far as splitting or repotting in the future?

Hey Zeck, I can't give experienced advice because I haven't owned an adult one, only raised them from seed and killed them within 6 months.... But!... I have become very good with the old Ascleps and I'm here to say that I would treat it the same way if it were mine. I've been using extra perlite and pumice in my Asclep mix with great results. They like frequent waterings but drying out very quickly. Eventually, I'll try these again and that's what I'll do. They all get the same soil treatment now.

Noki, your tumors are just the style of growth with these. You can pop them off and propagate them if you wish. I'd probably try it during the repot.

I find mirgiurtinus to be pretty unfussy with repotting (especially when compared to cubiformis), and I strongly agree that a sharp, fast draining mix is the way to go. Mine sits under some other plants for a bit of direct sun protection, and has inflated like a little green balloon. It has several wartlike offsets around the base which seem to take a long time to increase in size...not sure why.

I have a plant that should be repotted, but is producing many seeds every year. I also have killed many plants and seedlings and I not inclined to repot these plants.
