That said, I've been taking Dahlia cuttings this summer and I've had my best results with cuttings that were planted in 2 liter bottles. (See the link below which shows how to cut and reunite the bottles.) The cuttings seem to really like the humid environment a lot. I try to keep the bottles out of direct sun. I planted the cuttings in ProMix and used Dragon Rootone rooting hormone powder.
