WANTED: Named daylilies, etc., for perennials

I would like to trade. If you see something you like, tell me what you have. Not sending for postage, trades only.

I am looking for named daylilies, especially Munsons and Kirchoffs, or miniatures. Any kind of Siberian iris. Dark or unusual Asiatic, oriental, or species lilies like Turks caps. Miniature daffodils. Shade garden plants. Other perennials, of course: I canÂt think of anything specific as I want so many!

Perennials available in May:

Centaurea Montana (Mountain Bluet)

Daylily Chicago Royal Robe

Daylily Star Wars

Plenty of orange wild daylilies

Sedum Autumn joy

Available later so I can check the colors before sending:

Alpine and Various Columbines (have to wait until after bloom so I can label varieties)

Miniature irises, pale blue

Miniature irises, yellow

There will be others when I figure out what has come up and spread enough to share.

Thanks for looking!

Forestrose, please do not trade your Chinese Yam/Cinnamon Vine bulbils. It is a terrible, invasive plant. You may think that you can control it, but bulbils get away and form populations along streams, in farmland and forests, where there is no one to control them. In time, it takes over, crowding out native plants. It doesn't spread rapidly, but it is relentless. If you read the forums, the only people who sing the praises of the plant have never tried to get rid of it, and the people who have tried to get rid of it have only horror stories. My story is one of those, but I have also helped to try to get rid of it on public lands. In Illinois, it is illegal to own, grow or transport Cinnamon Vine/Chinese Yam, and they have an ongoing eradication program, and it should be outlawed in other states as well. We do need legislation to keep the public from intentionally spreading these invasive, whose future removal will be at enormous expense to others.

To be socially responsible, you should get rid of it now, but be prepared to spend a few years and a lot of effort doing it. Now that we know what a problem some of these invasives can be, there is no excuse for continuing to spread them, where others will have to eventually spend great effort to get rid of them.
