Cayenne Deer DeterrentRecipe

I have read many of these post and believe that someone can help me on this. I have about 200 dried cayenne peppers from last years garden and have all the pepper sauce I can eat for the next 2 years.

I want to make a deer deterrent and need to know how to get the maximum heat from the peppers to make the most spray.

Would soaking in hot water for a few days be good enough? How much per gallon of water for spray? The deer seem to like the egg spray I make. Have electric fence around the vegi garden but the rest of the yard needs to be saved if possible.

Capsaicin is oil-soluble, not water-soluble. I think I'd probably whirl the whole peppers in my blender or food processor with enough oil to make a thin slurry, then strain the oil out and then spray the oil on my plants, perhaps mixed with soap to help it stick better. I'd love to hear how this works!

I've just been using chopped garlic, water, a bit of salad oil and a drop of dishwashing liquid, then I pour that on my plants with a watering can. We'll see if it works or not..haven't used peppers yet. Or eggs.

Sorry about the delay in posting back. Have been on vacation.
Will try blending with some olive oil tomorrow. About 1 cup oil and 1 cup cayenne pepper, blend and spray away?
