Thanks so much for your efforts to make the Swap such a success. I came home happy with lots of new plants that are now resting comfortably in their new spots. It was wonderful to meet so many nice people - Linda, Michelle, Balraj and those of you whose names I've forgotten but whose plants I remember! What a terrific first Swap!

I couldn't attend Saturday's swap-a-rama, as had to rush up to Everett to meet some repair guys working on our little rental property. Ended up waiting the WHOLE day for those lousy little plant-hating joy-killing ..... mutter, mutter, mutter. Anyway, did want to express my thanks to Vicar Jim for organizing the whole event. I look forward to the next one and to the opportunity to meet all of you plant-loving, joy-spreading, wonderful folk!

Thanks Jim, I've got the bamboo planted and can't wait to see the new culm grow. I notice that there looked to be a dead cane, it is split, but I wanted to make sure before I cut if off. I thought it would be cool to have a black cane, or rather gray *G* I'm sure I can find some use for it. How do you tell if it is dead for sure? There isn't any growth at all on it, no twigs or leaves.
