I do some crosses once in a while just for fun (no seedlings), and I noticed several daylilies with no pistil at all this year

What tetraploid do you have blooming at the same time that you could use as a cross? I looked up Worth It All and since it is 22", I would want a kid that is taller, but that's just me. Hope you find something really good to use as the pollen parent. Avedon

Nat and Avedon, unfortunately, I don't have room to do any hybridizing. In my climate, I've heard it's best to start seedlings indoors or the wait is 3-4 years before you see any results. I agree I'd want a taller plant, and WIA is never as tall as 22" here.

It is funny though. Very eager.
