'Pink Silver' seedlings

Ok this is a follow-up from the thread that I goofed on when I posted my H.publicalyx 'Pink Silver' seedings up for trades here instead of on the exchange page. I mentioned I would post some pictures. So here they are, starting from the beginning to now. Hope you enjoy the adventure as much as I have.

This is what they look like 24 to 48 hrs after sowing.

after a few months of growing

then I separated them and potted them up

and after growing some more I just potted them up again. They are just now starting to get the flecks on a few leaves.

Oh wow that's a lot of little ones, very cute. Even though the seeds came from 'Pink Silver' they will not necessarily have the same characteristics. If you were to grow the plants until they bloom you might even be able to pick out a special one and name a Hoya pubicalyx cultivar of your own.

Mike.....Thanks, and yes I am aware they are now a cultivar of their own. I have made sure that when I offer them for trades that the new owner knows this. And that they in turn should pass this information on IF they ever offer cuttings from the plant.

Pug...Thanks, It's been so much fun watching them grow!

I have been very fortunate to have a very generous hoya friend that shared her seed pods with me.I would bestow name giving to her to this cultivar when it blooms. And very lucky to have a understanding husband to put up with all the containers of sprouting and growing hoya's under the kitchen counter lights!
