I have a plant in my garden in the iridaceae family that is blooming now.I would like to know what it is.

It was either collected wild from the state of Georgia, or it was a discard from the nursery I work at (in which case it could be from any geographic location).

Given the sword-like (iris-like) foliage and the presence of 3 stamens it is most likely a a member of the iridaceae. It has small fuzzy greenish-white flowers held in a cluster at the top of a tall infloresence. The flowers have 3 seperate unfused stamens. It is blooming now, in July.

I assumed it was an Iris when I obtained it when it was not blooming. It is not showy, but the fist size fuzzy white cluster held 2 feet up is interesting enough to keep.
