They should be fine, unless they are not reliably hardy. My Stargazer lilies seem like they can take anything. Unless you have a deep freeze you should have nothing to worry about.

We got the same freeze here and now all of the lilies (mostly Trumpet) that were a foot out of the ground look like they have been hit with a blowtorch. Something tells me that they are not fine.

If a lilies stem is frozen back to the point all of the leaves are brown and dried and are not growing anymore, if the plants were super stong and healthy, can they make new stems from the bulb in the same season if they were damaged early enough? I think this years lilies ARE goners here.

In the fall of 2004, my lilies sprouted, after planting, when we received 70 degree temps in December. They all sprouted to about 4-5 inches. Of course, the cold weather arrived and they all turned brown and mushy. The spring of 2005, they didn't come up at all. So, I overplanted the bed with annuals. THIS year, they are up and going gangbusters. So, if they don't come up this year, they'll be even better next year!

My problem now is that some of the annuals overwintered...

Sherry, mine did exactly the same that I planted in Fall 2004. No show in 2005, this year, ohmygosh, they have multiplied like crazy. I had purchased them from Van Engelen, and I contacted them, and they said they doubted that the lilies had sprouted, but the bulbs should be OK. They must have multiplied 5-10fold.
