I love Scheherazade, any of the Orienpets or trumpets.

scheherazade looks interesting. thnx hostaholic. I just found a lily nursery 20 minutes away from my house. They do sales and online orders, so I'm planning a trip to check out there gardens which they have tours of. I can't believe I'm just finding out about this place.

I've been growing a tall lily called Honeymoon (I hope I'm remembering that right) for the past couple years--kind of a buff yellow--6 ft tall--lots of buds and flowers--very sturdy. I think it is an oriental lily.

I also grow that tried and true Lily Regale--not as sturdy as Honeymoon, but about the same height and the flowers circle the top of the plant. The blooms are white with yellow centers.

My experience so far is that Casa Blanca is a bit temperamental. I grow some because I love the shape and color, but the two above are much more dependable and prolific than Casa Blanca is.

Thnx Kate I'll look them up and see if I can find them. I find orientals hard to grow for me so far.I was suprised that Casa Blanca was an oriental, it always grew so tall and bloomed well for my mother.Lily Regale sounds familiar I think I saw it in the online cat, for the lily nursery in my area.

Oops, a slight correction. Not all the lilies I mentioned above are oriental lilies. The sturdy Honeymoon is an orienpet--very easy to grow lily. Lily Regale is a trumpet lily.

I think I got that right now. Must have been suffering a touch of heatstroke yesterday. : )

Oh, I just remembered another orienpet I grow--Sonora, white with dark rosy red center. Not quite as tall as Honeymoon, but gets a fair height regardless. Again, orienpets are easy to grow--not temperamental like some orientals are.

L. Regale looks exactly like the one I grow at the back. But Black Dragon looks very similar as well, it was a gift from a friend and came with no-name. It does well in certain spots in my garden. I have one in full sun and alittle wetter conditions and it doesn't seem to like it there. I've found your other suggestions in the online cat.

In my garden the tallest Oriental-Trumpets hybrids lilies at 7' and more are:

Scherazade (white and red)
Ice Caves (white with green throat)
Arabesque (Red and white)
Ortega (white with gold center)
