p. incarnata vs. p. coerulea is there a difference?

Hi all. I bought seeds awhile back but neither of them had pictures of either. Just the above label. When I Google both names it seems the same plant comes up.

Is this in fact the same variety? The seeds for the coerulea are small, not much bigger than a sesame seed. The Incarnata ones are bigger...similar to a lemon seed only flat.

pls help. I'm attempting to grow both, but would like to know if I'm growing the same plant in duplicate?

Also, if you can tell me what their colors will be, would also be very helpful. thanks!

They are different and the blooms look nothing alike. Both are hardy varieties.

As Karyn showed perfectly, they are very different. They are both fairly cold hardy, and can take as much sun as you can throw at them. Be aware that P. incarnata may die back to the ground in winter to come back up in late Spring. Most Passiflora do not have this trait. Also, P. caerulea will bloom in late Spring/early Summer, whereas P. incarnata will bloom from Summer to Fall in my experience.

Lastly, P. caerulea fruit is inedible, but P. incarnata can make quite nice edible fruit, though some varieties tend to taste better than others.
