two different blooms

I have a tree peony that has two distinct branches.

One has the appropriate color blooms, the other stem has blooms that are not what the tag shows. It is blooming now. Should I cut off the whole stem of the wrong-colored blooms as these may be coming from the root stock?

You can try to investigate it by uncovering it gently(unless it goes to deep). Does it look like a tree peony or normal perennial peony?

I think two different coloured blooms on the same plant sounds pretty interesting. If they are attractive blooms why would you want to discourage them?
