There is no heat to the pepper at all, none like eating a bell pepper. I thought the bishop crown was supposed to be hot.?

I grew something that looks identical to that last year. It was called a Mexibell, and has the heat of a mild->medium bell pepper. Here is an image of the variety I grew:

It looks like a ripe Aji Dulce. There are two types: one from Puerto Rico and one fom Argentina.

It looks like vegjoe might be right.

They are kinda hard to find. My husband's grandmother uses them to make Sofrito for Puerto Rican dishes. I was never able to find them in our area (NE). This year I found some plants at Brewery Creek Nursery in MN.

Can you tell if it is a chinense or annuum or baccatum How many pods per node? Does the flower have spots on it? Bishops Crown is a baccatum and has little heat. Yours doesn't look like it to me. Aji Dulce is a chinense and has mild to no heat. It looks from your picture like only one pod per node which would be annuum

If an annuum it might be one of the squash or mushroom peppers, although mine was hot.

I took a few pods to UF college of ag. and found out to the best of their knowldge it is aji. Thats ok its a beautiful plant, anyone need seeds I might have quite a few after this year. I have kept it away from my other plants most of the year in a container.
