I am not a REAL hot pepper grower or eater. But I am in the middle. I love spicy foods. My hottest peppers so far have been Habanero and Birds Eye. But generally, I like to munch on things like Serrano, Jalapeno, Holy moley, Poblano ..

Now the question: Several days ago I bought some Green Serrano peppers from store. I ate most but couple of them were left on the kitchen counter that started turning red. I kept one of them. Now it is nice red, as red as any red pepper can be. Now, can I save seeds from that, to plant next year? will the seeds be viable? And also, is there a certain ways to save pepper seeds? ( I know how to ferment tomato seed. )
