Is there a label that calls them Peking peppers?
Could they be Pequin peppers?

Someone may have heard word Pequin and written it down as Peking.

Yes, Pequin is my husband's favorite pepper. I dunno why (LOL). Personally I prefer Habaneros and Purple Thai peppers, and am curious about Black Hungarian and "Fish".

Are you familiar with Szechuan peppercorns? There is another variety, from the Peking area of China, that looks similar but is bigger on the flowery end of the flavor and smaller on the throat tickling heat end of things. They look nothing like a pequin. ;) The ones I have come from Thailand., "Hand Brand," I believe.
