Hi.
I own a very shady yard in New Orleans. I thought I would plant Asimina Triloba there, but I was told I should get a local plant or it won't grow. Most of the named varieties are from north of here. I think that LSU and USL and some of the other colleges have been experimenting with this tree, but I don't know how to get their Asiminas (I have tried on the Web. Hopeless so far.) Anyone know the best way to get a good Pawpaw for this hot part of the world? Oh, and I have two seedling Cherimoyas I'm going to try and grow in containers (zipping them inside when it gets nippy). Has anyone else done this?
