Was anything in bloom in Maine?
It really does feel like we might be over winter now that the trees are leafing out but I say this cautiously after my memory reminds me of a recent snow on May 18th.
Isn't it wonderful to see all these plants popping thru the soil? I even have new growth on my lotus. This is the first winter its been thru and I had conflicting reports on it making it. And of course, I am probably the worst at marking my plants when I plant them so I have a lot of surprises out there.
Hubby also mowed last weekend and it s ready for another haircut. Have a great weekend and enjoy spring in the great NE. Kareen

Yes! I've been watching my Bleeding Heart grow from 1" last weekend to nearly a foot this morning. My anemones blanda have been blooming. Penstemons that I planted near the hummingbird feeder at the end of last summer are also growing like crazy - maybe I'll even have flowers by the time the hummingbirds show up?!

I just love this time of year!

Happy spring to all. I also am so surprised with all the plants I have up already. I have the pleasent surprise of winter sowing for the first time and it is an awesome site to see all the babies I have coming up. I have had to rush my spring cleanup this year as I only have until Apr 27th to have anything done as I am having my final surgery on the 28th. I was so fortunate to have all that beautiful dry sunshinny weather to accomplish all the tasks facing me. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the exchange. Glad you are home again AnneMarie
