Over in the Landscape Forum they are always making fun of this product and another that 'colors' your mulch when the sun bleaches it out or you purchase different mulch and want it all to look the same.

I have enough trouble keeping my hair dyed; to heck with the fading mulch!!

For mulch, it is basically useless. It says that it can be used on gravel, sand, dirt roads to keep stuff from flying all over the place, which sounds useful.
