What does it need to hold? Towels for 4? Sheets? If so, how many beds?

This is our only linen closet, it serves two right now, though our house is technically 3 bedrooms (we use two for other purposes). It also serves the only full bath in the house. If we were using all three bedrooms, I think it would be tight, but if limited to two sets of sheets/towels per person could work.

This is 25 wide by 22 deep. I recently put in these shelves, which helped immensely! They are 12 inches for the uppers and 16 for the two lower shelves.

Is that a 24" door? It is for our master bath - only serving the two of us. I'm not a big believer in tons of sheet sets. Perhaps 3-4 sets of towels max. Plus maybe a top shelf for misc tote items.

I believe it is an 18 in door, though little here is standard. If the builder got a deal on an odd lot, it could very well be 19 or 17 inches. There is trim inside on both sides, plus a tiny bit of wall.

Ours (recently demolished) was 36 inches wide by about 26 inches deep. This was for just the Master bath - sheets, towels, misc. We have more towels than we should but this was still a bigger area than we needed. The width was OK but it was too deep. A lot of wasted space in a modestly sized bathroom.

My hall bathroom linen closet inside demension is 37 inches wide by 26 inches deep. It is very easy to access because the door is 30 inches wide. It has 5 shelves in it but could easily have 6. I think the size is more than adequate. We don't store sheets in it but it does hold a lot of things including a case of toilet paper and a case of paper towels, pool towels, bath towels, and all sorts of other assorted bathroom items.

My MB closet is another story. It is a tunnel at 37 inches deep and 22 inches wide with a 16 inch door. Not sure what the previous owner (who was the builder) was thinking when he put that closet in. Maybe he had extra, extra long arms!
