Any new feedback on Smartstrand on stairs over multiple years

I am considering Smartstrand (Zephyr or Mr. Sandman) on a set of stairs and hallway and am looking for real-life feedback for durability over the long haul. The former is short; the latter is dense and a little taller (and a lot more expensive, but beautiful!)

A few older threads in here mention some fuzzing or other wear problems after a couple of years on stairs.

Any new stair reports to share - good or bad - for similar Smartstrand products?

I have a feeling the shorter one, Zephyr, might actually be a little better for stair wear.

Nothing is bulletproof for stairs. They will not be warranted on steps. The shorter pile height will disguise issues better.

Yeah, I understand stairs are a big-time exclusion. I am just wondering if Smartstrand is any better than traditional fibers based on actual historical usage.
