This was our super-bowl. And WE WON!!

Now Kansas-State has fallen to us!!!
They were Big-12 Champs last year, in the Major-College FBS D-1.
(We've now beaten both Kansas teams)

I followed their main football-forum the last few days.
Nobody giving us a shot....
"We'll hang 70 on those goofy Bison...", etc., etc.....

It was hot & humid in Manhattan, KS tonite.
* They didn't think we'd survive.
* We scored 1st. Halftime was 7-7.
* They got up on us 21-7 thru 3rd qtr. I thought we were wilting.
* Then we started punching back.
* We stopped their late possessions, & scored.
* Then...THE DRIVE.
* On our 20, down by 4...about 4 min. left.
* Grinding...grinding...we scored a TD with 30 SECONDS left!!!
* Their last 2 plays did nothing....BISON WIN.

I'm so proud of NDSU Football that I can't stand it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Faron, this is fantastic!!! Way to go Bison!! (notice I didn't say Bisons) I'll be cheering for them for the rest of the season. That team's got fire in the belly.

Now I need to call & console my dad back in Kansas. He does love his K-State Wildcats so, even though the rest of us are solid rock chalk (KU).

Wow - this is a win worth celebrating. What a great way to start the season.

DH is sitting next to me reading about your Bison...he's quite impressed and is sure you could hold your own if you moved to the Big 12.

College football is too damn much fun!
Like the article says, we've done this on a consistent basis too...

Ha! Faron, wish you could have seen my DH's face when I told him NDSU beat K-State last night: jaw hit the floor, a few seconds of dazed amazement, followed by a big grin. He's a nice New Yawk boy with no midwestern roots at all, so no skin in the game. But a life-long sports fan. He fully appreciates the significance of this historic win. (It is historic, don't you think?)

Land of the free and the home of the...BISONNNNNN!!!

Historic for us (& maybe beyond just "us"?!) for SURE!
* Beating a LEGIT Big-12 Champion...
* At THEIR house...
* 2nd biggest crowd they've had! Over 50,000 I think.
* Very warm & humid game...
* We fell behind by 14 in 3rd Qtr., things seemed to be unraveling...
* Then...with our backs to the wall...our guys started taking it back.
* A TD & FG get us back to within 4. HAVE TO get 7.
* Then...the looonng 80yd. drive to win. Crucial 3rd-downs made along the way.
* Eventually, the QB-keeper to win!!!
* Then, as this video-montage says, "stunned silence" of KS fans...
