have not heard of showcase...do you mean showplace? You want the company that has the best factory skills and history of constructing this cabinet.Get the best you can afford and whichever your designer seems to laud in his/her "working" with their rep/technical people. That cabinet has a lot of steps in the making of it.

Yes sorry I meant showplace. Just wondering if anyone has installed these in their homes and how they are liking them. I have no idea which has the best factory skills or history. I was hoping some people on this board with have insight.

rephrase your question with the names again-you can search
the forum with words... try "inset cabinets" as well as the 2 names....

I have white inset from Shiloh and we are quite happy with them. However, we weren't thrilled with the local rep/installer in our area and he definitely did not have much experience with inset cabs. Our contractor ended up redoing some of the install for us. So no matter who you go with, also make sure whoever installs them has experience with inset cabs. Good Luck!

Chris thanks so much for that perspective. We are leaning toward shiloh as they are cheaper for us and the representative has been in the business for 40+ years and speaks very highly of them. I also like their white color choices better.

I did try the search function but can't seem to come up w/ a solid comparison of the two. The seem very similar, perhaps a little better construction on the Shiloh.

we had shiloh recently installed and are very happy. Our contractor thought they were pretty well made.

I am fairly partial to showplace as well, I spent a few years selling their products and would highly recommend them. But, in your case their is no real reason that I can point out to choose them over Shiloh. They are also a good brand, and comparable, and the pricing is better. You get what you want for less money.

Thanks you so much for the additional perspective. I am aware that I can choose colors for the Showplace, but have a feeling that might be an upcharge. I do love that white kitchen you linked.

Rob that is exactly what I feel as I cannot find a reason to choose showplace over Shiloh given I am saving over 3K going with Shiloh. I have a feeling I would be happy with either cabinet and they both seem to be excellent.

I had Shiloh cabinets installed in my kitchen almost 2 years ago. I have inset uppers and European lowers. I could not be happier! The paint finish is excellent and they are very sturdy and work seamlessly. I also had a great KD and company that did the installation - very responsive to any problems (and there almost always are a few with any install!). I highly recommend Shiloh.
