I'm starting law school part-time in the fall and have converted a 13' x 13' bedroom into a home office/study. The room has no built-in lighting but does get plenty of natural light during the day.

It will function as an office for occassional days working at home (I'm a writer) and as a study late a night and on weekends. I'll be doing lots of heavy reading and writing and using a desktop computer and laptop. I'm in my late 40s - and nearsighted but have a feeling reading classes are in my future ;)

I've searched the archives here but am having trouble finding info about optimal lighting for this type of use. Can anyone help?
