How can a buyer see my organic farm in Australia?

Hi,

My name is Wolfgang. In 1991, inspired by the biodynamic movement, I started my farm in Australia. I designed it after permaculture principles. Over 20+ years, I planted one third of the 36 acres with native rain forest. Another third is planted with orchards: bananas, 80 avocados, 60 mangoes, 200 olives, 200 pecans, citrus and many more.
Now in my seventies, I want to retire and start a new chapter in my life, which means selling the property. I have been dreaming that the next person who steps in will have similar sensitivities to self-sufficiency and sustainability so that there is some continuation for my work. Originally I came from Germany, and I have a feeling that the farm will best fit someone from North America or Europe. I say this having seen hundreds of visitors and woofers from all countries.

I'm not very good with modern marketing and need help because I don't really know how to make that special person overseas become aware of that special place in the northern rivers of Australia. Somehow I have been having a feeling that the right person is on the way but I also feel the need to light a beacon.

I'm sure a lot of people here are younger and more skilled with the internet and would be very grateful for any thoughts and help.

I am sure there are Real Estate agents over in Australia that specialize in internation sales. Do not rely on the internet but do look in your larger cities for this help.

me again. I just researched Real Estate in Australia and found that REMAX is listed. That is a very active and good company in the United States. They will take pictures etc I am sure there are others

Why would anyone consider trying to sell to someone that lives in another country, it could take many months even if someone did qualify for residency in Australia.
You would be far better off contacting a Real Estate Agent in your area and have them list it. All properties go onto the internet on the Real Estate site for that state, the site is able to be seen in other countries, so if someone was looking for a farm they would come across it.

I think its a good idea. Look how many foreigners are buying up property in the States. Perhaps Wolfgang might consider marketing his property to one of these buyers.

I'm sure there are folks here who would be happy to help. Have you tried the Gardenweb/Australia forums yet?

It sounds like it would make an excellent residence for someone who wants to live off the grid.

Is it possible to post a link or some pics of the property?

Are you aware of websites with an organic / sustainability focus for people in North America and Europe where there is a section to announce properties for sale?

dreamgarden, you said that a link would be useful, but I do not want to break the site's policy about no advertising... :)

Yes....but that is because they are cheap, not the case in Australia.

OR...you can do a search for information on selling your property overseas and the requirements for foreign buyers. You would also find the agents that handle overseas investments.
