LOOKING for: Country style rib recipes?

I found a great sale on this meat, and I need some recipes. I have plenty of versions of BBQ for them, so I need something else.

I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Do you like sauerkraut? They'd work well in this:
    SPARERIBS & KRAUT (serves 3 or 4)
    3 lbs spareribs
    3-4 cups sauerkraut
1 tart apple, peeled, cored & sliced
    1 tsp caraway seed

Cut the ribs into individual portions & brown in a heavy pan. Add the juice from the sauerkraut & enough water barely to cover. Simmer, covered about 45 minutes.
Add the sauerkrat, pushing it down into the liquid in the pan.
Add the apple & caraway seed & cook 30-60 minutes longer. The liquid should evaporate during cooking.~~Craig Claiborne
NOTE: You may also bake this in a 350° oven.

This is my favourite Country Style Rib recipe.

Home Cookin Chapter: Recipes From Thibeault's Table

    =========================
This is adapted from a Paul Prudhomme Recipe.

    Seasoning Mix

    1 Tablespoon Salt
    2 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper

3 to 4 pounds of country style ribs
    1 onion chopped
    1 large green pepper chopped
1 cup of chicken stock (may need more)
. Mix ingredients for seasoning together.

Place ribs in a ungreased baking pan and rub the meat with the
seasoning mix. Rub meat with a small amount of oil and roast in a 500°
oven for 30 minutes turning often until the ribs are brown and the fat
is crispy. Reduce temperature to 350° and sprinkle the meat with the
onions and green peppers and add the chicken broth. Return the pan to
the oven and roast additional hour or until meat is tender. Check
occasionally and add more broth as needed.

I like it served over rice and sometimes beans on the side.

I know this thread is a couple of years old, but I was searching for something different to do with country style ribs besides the tried and true barbecue, and I found this thread. I tried Ann T's recipe and my family LOVED them. I used the drippings to make a nice spicy gravy, too. Thank you Ann!

    This is so easy!

Pre-heat oven to 275. Lightly coat ribs with vegetable oil and place on rack with pan lined with foil. Sprinkle both sides of ribs with lots of lemon pepper and garlic powder(in place of the gp, you can use minced garlic). Let stand about 30 minutes before cooking. Cover with foil and cook for 3 hrs.

I love country style ribs, so I'm going to try all of the above!
