I threw the timing off on my Brother VX-1120 home sewing machine by turning the wheel too forcefully when my needle had gotten stuck in fabric and thread. Now, the hook passes across the needle opening when the needle is too high, therefore my top thread is not getting hooked and not picking up my bobbin thread.
I tried to adjust the timing. It looks like I may have to do this by accessing the parts that are towards the back of the machine. The cover is in a clamshell configuration. I was able to remove the front art of the cover, but couldn't figure out how to remove the back part.
Does anyone know how to remove the back cover of this machine, or better yet, does anyone know how to adjust the timing? It doesn't seem like it should be this difficult.
FYI: I am new to sewing machines, and know next to nothing about them. I'm just kind of figuring it out as I go.
