How to create drama with a two story drywall fireplace

This two story fireplace has three exposed sides and a focal point of the room. The customers wanted to create a true focal point and love stone. They liked the stacked stone look and wanted to keep the earth tones. A new mantel was required so the Christmas stockings can be hung.

North Star Stone, Inc of Libertyville, IL manufactures thin stone veneer and custom colors every batch of stone to the customer's desire. For jobs in the Chicago metro area we install the stone. Otherwise we can ship the stone.

In three days the boring drywall was gone and there is a beautiful new stone fireplace. What do you think?

For such a large fireplace, it needed a larger fire box when originally built.
