For my new kitchen I love the look of honed black granite but have heard it's a maintenance nightmare. But I think the high gloss of polished granite is the wrong look for my adirondack home. I have Corian (color= moss) in my current house and actually love the feel of it compared to cold hard granite. I'm wondering if black corian might give me the honed granite look I want. Not sure if a solid matt black will be as easy to care for (ie hide scratches) as my speckled "Moss" corian has been. Any opinions out there? Thanks for any advice!
