Ficus Benjamina

When looking at the branches of my 7 foot Ficus Benjamina, it appears to have transparent tiny hairson every branch. They easily detach but are too minute to see any detail without a microscope which I do not have. Can anyone tell me what this is? The Ficus has been sprayed with Neem oil for scale--armored and soft.

Can you upload a picture. Not really sure what you mean by small hairston.

And I believe they may be normal... something that comes with age (relative) on Ficus, or at least some varieties.

The secretory (they secrete stuff) trichomes you describe are a normal part of the anatomy of F benjamina. If you look at them through a microscope you can see the single supporting cell at the base and another globulous cell at the head of the trichome.
