Ryan, The only passifloras that can take some frost and keep on flowering/fruiting are P. caerulea and P. incarnata, and their hybrids. The reason they can take the cold is that they will come back from the roots after dying off.

Be aware of the fact that P. 'Frederick' is a hybrid, so the seeds will not come true, the seedlings will not be P. 'Frederick'. They will still flower and set fruit similar to P. 'Frederick', but all of the seedlings the developer of P. 'Frederick' tried were inferior to P. 'Frederick'.

I know fredrick is a hybrid, so I dont expect true to type seedlings from it, but its all I've currently got to work with.

P, incarnata and P. edulis f. edulis are probably the most cold resistant of the edible species. If you have seeds of P. edulis germinate them and test the seedlings for cold tolerance. Jus remember that P. edulis seedlings they will be no longer self fertile.
