Convert a bathroom sink cabinet to kitchen sink base

I am attempting to repair 2 rooms after major water damage. My husband could do anything, but he recently passed away. I purchased cabinets from Restore all on my own. My contractor picked up and delivered and measured and thought everything okay. However, the sink base is for bathroom. He says too much work to convert, however, my budget is gone. If I have to get a sink base for kitchen, it will cost hundreds of dollars and weeks of waiting for special order. It is correct height so I think it may be converted.

It's not deep enough from front to back. Vanities are 21'' while kitcen cabinets are 24''. While you could place blocking at the rear to bring it forward, that wouldn't do anything for the box's ability to house a standard 22'' deep kitchen sink. You would need to add in all kinds of aditional support to be able to cut the back enough to fit in the sink and be able to reach the plumbing and still support a heavy sink full of water. A 2x4 frame ought to be able to do that, but it depends on the skill of the carpenter and what he'd charge you to completely remake the base. In most cases, he's right. The labor charge to do that would be more than just ordering the correct cabinet.

Bath vanity cab. are typically 28"-30" tall.

Kitchen 34-5/8"

"He says too much work to convert"

Remove the back panel and nailing rail, add 4" to the sides and bottom, reinstall the back panel and nailing rail.

Install it.

We have a bathroom vanity that is standard kitchen counter height. What is the height of the cabinet you bought? The main issue I see is the depth as hollysprings noted.
