Admins: Thanks for deleting my post!!!

Rarely do we appreciate having our posts deleted, but in this case I'm very pleased. In the thread about our street names I foolishly included mine, plus all the streets around me. It was too late to edit. I wrote to the admins, gave them the link, and requested I either be allowed to edit it or they had my permission to delete it in its entirety. I didn't hear back from them directly, but I just visited the thread and my post is gone.

Of course, it still shows up in a Google search, but that isn't Houzz's fault and should one day fade away.

Actually, I don't think you have to contact admin to delete a post. You can do it yourself.

Nancyocean, how so? I'm talking about a post that was brought over from GW. No way to edit those. If I can't edit, how can I delete?

Possibly by flagging? But then everyone else still sees it while they evaluate it, and the only reason you'd be able to select is "I don't like it".

I thought you meant here, not at the old GardenWeb, how do you even find the old GardenWeb? I miss it . . .

All of the posts from old GW are now here. You can look them up. However, no editing of those. Also, very small window of time to edit a post made on the new Houzz GW forum. As in minutes.
