I've been having trouble uploading pictures to Houzz lately, but if you search the Dracaena house plants, there are some that are more narrow for your corner. Unless you use a tall planter for a bulky succulent, I think the Dracaena is the way to go!
Check out Houzz's photos also, there was a gorgeous 3-4'. tall glass planter with a succulent on top! It could be a pretty look, depends on the look you want.

I posted my wall pocket just to give you the idea of what might also be a thought as well To balance out the other side you can maybe find a planter that is a bit longer (and more bulky maybe) than mine but contemporary wall pocket/planter with just a few twigs or branches!
