We painted ours with Painter's Touch Multipurpose Latex Paint (use outside in summer also). Every other year, they need a bit of a touch up..but well worth it. I didn't spray them, as I find that's a bit messy. The first time you paint them will take a bit of time to get into all the grooves, but touch ups take no time at all. Also, consider first just changing the pillows instead of painting and that might make enough of a difference.

Maureen, the pillows match the rest of the room. I searched for chairs that were as comfortable as the 17 year old ones I was replacing and these won. Just do not love the color, but do love the pillows. Was your wicker resin wicker like mine? I would love to NOT spray paint. Actually, not adverse to just kind of dry brushing on a lighter color and letting some of the natural show.
If yours was resin like mine, there is hope!

I have resin wicker chairs that I repainted. They were a dark green and I painted white. I recommend a clear coat protector as the paint will rub off. I spray painted mine as they do have a lot of areas that are hard to get in. Mine took 2 coats as they were darker. Good luck.

I think my dilemma is solved! These chairs are less than a week old. Although my Pier 1 did not have in white, the next one over does. I am going to exchange. Maybe I will like the white, but if I don't it will be a lot easier to cover with paint than the brown. I just do not do dark in decor. The sectional in that room is cream leather and the darkest wood is light oak. They are not me.
