for those with a keen design eye just curious what the prevailing thoughts would be.

Have decided to look at solid wood stained interior doors - trim will be painted still. So should we look to match up the same species of wood for the kitchen cabinets and floors (hardwoods throughout the house up and down) - or is that just way to much matching materials?

Have thought about matching two of the three - like the doors and kitchen cabinets and then finding a complimentary tone for the floors - but my head is spinning at this point. I just want to make sure we don't fall into the trap of having them 'close' so they look like we 'tried to match' and just missed it.
