I love the idea of two chairs against the fireplace, the thought never even occurred to me, the couch and chair I have is a brown corduroy lazboy set, and they're both substantial in size, I don't know if I could fit them back in without moving the vanity and wardrobe out

HI -- Yes I would say the bedroom furniture would have to be re-moved to allow for the sofa and chair in the room. The Depression furniture looks odd to be in that room anyway.
