A warranty is only 1/2 the issue if you can’t get service the warranty is useless, that is the question you ask the seller not the warranty.

Is there going to be any difference if you bought the cheaper range and the warranty expires before anything goes wrong as too the more expensive range in the same situation! I have never had a problem with anything under warranty its always happened after the warranty has expired, I would purchase on the basis of how much replacement parts cost with service and maybe research the products them selves as to common failures and troubleshooting! this day and age we can make a valid decision on purchase with the stroke of the keys of your computer!

Thanks for input. So made a couple of calls to service company's each of them were very helpful and sounded genuine. Both company's didn't recognize American Range just Bluestar. Both also said Bluestars customer service was one of the best they have worked with.Most of problems or damage they have seen is during the install. They did say Capital seemed to be a good brand but just not alot of then in area.So whats its worth with everything I have read Capital and Bluestar are the best choices, I just didn't like the rack system in the Capital. Am and Bluestar have a cleaner look.

I'm curious as to why you want open burners. I am not knowledgeable where it involves gas ranges. Is there an advantage to having open vs. sealed?

I have a Electrolux duel fuel sealed burner range now with 18000 to

450 btu. I enjoy a lot but when cooking with a large skillet its hard to

get even temps across the pan were open burner will solve

that problem . There is a lot of talk on this forum about open and

sealed burners which you may enjoy reading.
